  INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS

OPEN FOR TRUSTED COMPREHENSIVE DENTAL CARE

The Australian Dental Council of NSW announced that only Level 1 restrictions will now apply. This means that we can perform all treatments and use all equipment once again. The only restriction being that we continue screening for COVID-19 symptoms and indicators.

We understand many people have been concerned about personal health and safety during this period among other issues. We have taken this situation extremely seriously well before it was declared a pandemic. This state of alertness and strict infection control protocols here will remain relatively unchanged for a very long time, in fact many of our elevated protocols are here to stay, because we care about you, our team and everybody's health, that's our word.

The health and safety of our patients and staff is paramount.  We have always had very high infection control standards here for your peace of mind and we take every precaution to protect you and everyone at our practice from any unnecessary health risks. We have always followed and exceeded the directions and recommendations of the Australian Dental Association throughout this period.

We are still screening for symptoms and risk factors. Patients that have symptoms or are determined to be at risk of current infection will not be seen at this time. Any such patient that requires urgent treatment will be assessed remotely for appropriate guidance.

When you contact us we will ask questions to determine if you are in a high risk for either having COVID-19 or at a high risk of complications from it. We will make our decisions and recommendations based on our strict assessment.

Peace of mind is one of the most important reasons around 20,000 people have entrusted us with their health and dental needs. All of our staff have strict protocols to follow during this time and they have been provided specific training regarding COVID-19.

Word of Mouth Dentistry COVID-19 safety measures include:

  • We are currently not treating patients with active, suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection until they are clearly no longer a transmission threat. We are however, performing procedures as if the patient has the active disease to protect us and you from anybody who may be unknowingly infectious. We simply won't take any unnecessary risks with health.

  • High technology Zoono® GermFree24 is used by all our team and Zoono® Microbe Shield is used throughout the practice including door handles and most surfaces. Zoono® has been clinically proven to be an ongoing effective agent against COVID-19 and 99.9% of other pathogens including viruses, bacteria, yeast and fungi.

  • Barrier screens have been installed at our reception desks.

  • Staff are practising social distancing whenever practical and wear clinical masks whenever appropriate.

  • A dedicated team member for strict sterilisation responsibilities.

  • Special Hydrogen Peroxide or Chlorhexidine mouthwash is given to our patients before treatment.

  • Our dentists and assistants wear P2/KN95 clinical masks during most treatments, protective eye wear and hair protection and full face shields when appropriate. Specially Zoono® treated scrubs and/or gowns are worn during dental treatments

  • Protective eye wear is available to patients to wear during the treatment.

  • Dental dam is used whenever required or possible during treatment.

  • Airflow has been modified making negative pressure achievable in each treatment room as protection from lingering aerosols and carbon filters are additionally fitted to internal air supply.

  • Rooms are sprayed with 0.1% Sodium Hypochlorite disinfectant between uses when necessary.

  • We are ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned down and any potentially lingering aerosols have been evacuated. We will not take risks with your health.

  • Autoclaves cycles for critical instruments are processed on the Prion cycle which is the highest level of sterilisation achievable in a dental practice.

We are OPEN Mon- Fri 8:30am - 5pm and Sat 8:30am - 4pm.

We always take your health seriously, that's our word.
