Dr. Khai Nguyen completed his dental degree at the University of Sydney, before completing his specialist training also at the University of Sydney. Khai has completed 16 years of service with the Royal Australian Air Force as a Dental Officer, which has included numerous postings across Australia and has been responsible for mentoring junior Dental Officers and managing the Air Force Dental capability. His experiences have included various national and overseas humanitarian deployments to the Pacific and within South-East Asia, as well as a 6 month Operational tour to Afghanistan.
Dr Khai has been a clinical tutor at the University of Sydney and has held Executive positions on a number of Dental committees and Periodontal organisations. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist stream of Periodontics. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontics (ANZAP), the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). Outside of his periodontal work, Dr Khai's interests include personal fitness and training and globetrotting the world whenever he can get the chance. He is also able to speak fluent Vietnamese.

Dr Chris Barker graduated from dental school at the University of Adelaide in 2004 and in 2005 was awarded First Class Honours for completion of an honours research program. He completed his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry, specialising in Periodontology, at Griffith University in 2014.
Chris has worked in government and private practice roles in Adelaide, Brisbane and regional Queensland. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and he has completed the Long Surgical Course Certification from Implant Team International (ITI).
Chris has been a junior lecturer and clinical tutor at the University of Adelaide and Griffith University. Chris is also a published author and his research on modifying factors of bone resorption and bone production has been presented at domestic and international conferences. He received research grants from the Australian Periodontology Research Foundation and the Australian Society of Orthodontics.
He is currently the secretary of the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), ITI, the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA).
Chris lives in Brisbane with his wife Wendy, and they have two young boys and a girl. He enjoys getting outdoors and has a keen interest in rugby and mountain trekking.
